GREEN CITY R-1 GREENHOUSE TO OPEN MAY 1
The 2012-2013 Green City R-1 Greenhouse Production and Management class has been very busy preparing for the spring grand opening of the school greenhouse on Wednesday, May 1. Regular business hours are every Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. An exception to this is that the greenhouse will be closed on Friday, May 3 in order to prepare for the 14th Annual FFA Parent-Member Banquet. Come and see us for a wide variety of annual flowering plants, including Proven Winners. We will have vegetables later on in the season. Well finally the sun is shining! Hope this will help with the colds & allergies. I don't know about you but it seems to me like this year has zoomed by.I know everyone is eager to be outside again. Next year we will be providing the fluoride varnish and checkup by a dentist from the Northest Health Council. Again the dentist failed to appear from Kansas City so I think, for now, we will stick with what has been working. Artist of the Week
Green City has started honoring an Artist of the Week from either Green City Elementary, Junior High, or High School students. Our past three Artists of the Week have been Britney Jeffries, with her Jasper Johns painting, Ashley Raymer with her "Tattooed" Animal done in watercolor pencil, and Shawnee Noland with her "Tattooed" Animal also done in watercolor pencil.
